Thirty (30) social media creators and religious actors participated in the Cyberpeace Heroes Fellowship Camp, a six-day reflective and hands-on leadership program focused on interfaith and intrafaith dialogue, creating peaceful online spaces, and developing digital peacebuilding skills.
During the camp, fellows learned practical strategies for creating impactful content that promotes a culture of peace and meaningful online engagement. They also gained technical skills in video production, storytelling, and digital tools to strengthen their peace messaging. The program fostered collaboration as fellows connected with mentors and peers, exchanging insights and best practices. They also took on on-the-spot challenges to produce content addressing online violence, misinformation, and polarization.
The fellowship culminated with the presentation of Digital Content Creator Profiles and Action Plans, where fellows introduced podcasts, healing vlogs, digital citizenship explainers, and campaigns such as Cyberpeace Corners, SHEroes, and Quiet Edits. Each initiative reflected the fellows’ values, creativity, and shared commitment to building safer and more inclusive online spaces.
Mentors and speakers, including Kuya Raymor Cuevas, Ate Crisha Uy, Ms. Teresita Mirafuente, Ate Sheyna Delos Reyes, and Coach Lyqa Maravilla, guided the fellows through sessions on peaceful communication, digital safety, bias awareness, and values-based storytelling. On the final day, Ate CJ Navarra, Rohaniza Sumndad-Usman (Ate Honey), and Kuya Kenny Lloyd Angon provided insights, encouraging fellows to balance strategy with sincerity and creativity with accountability.
The Cyberpeace Heroes Fellowship Camp is part of the Building a Culture of Cyberpeace program, led by the Teach Peace Build Peace Movement (TPBPM) in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Philippines, KAICIID Dialogue Centre, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This initiative empowers young content creators and religious leaders to lead safe, inclusive, and values-based digital engagement across diverse communities.
